i wanted to share with you guys a little something that happened on a senior shoot last week.
we were wrapping up the shoot and as we parted ways the senior handed me the check for the session. i looked at the check and noticed that it didn’t have her parent’s names across the top, but rather, it had her own name. i asked her about this and she said that she’d been working 10 hour shifts five days a week this summer just to have enough money to pay for the shoot. i didn’t let her pay for the shoot and asked that she save the money for a rainy day. her pure dedication in working so hard for something she wanted was plenty payment enough for me. now THAT gives me a new appreciation for my job and the amazing seniors i get to work with every day. these amazing little humans guys, i’ll tell ya what.
